Turkeys December!

Hello everyone and xmas at the VW Brookside is well underway we have had a really great go at 'Sleepy Jean', Vince and Karens mid-60's Splitty Campervan.
Here is the vehicle part primed and look at that FAB floor pan and seat mounting neat !
Here is the rear view and we cannot wait to get the Autocraft rear corners on! More soon on this fabulous project resurrected from a Swampy Breakers Yard in an Unpmapped are of U.S.A yes Area 51!!!! Martian Land ! HeHe !!
Here she is with her cargo floors spotwelded in The Tubbs repaired and much more !
Also we have been just as busy on 'Dessie' Leanne and Andrews 1967 Walkthrough Splitscreen Camper, we have really got stuck into the bodywork and here i'am measuring the NS Long Panel for its bottom 200mm repair section, this is going to be a really groovy bus that they will be proud of!!
Much more soon, and got to go as there is a really strange light outside, help! i think the Martians have come back for there Campervan !!!!! Vince! Karen! Help! Help! They have beamed up your van!! See you all soon, Simon

Cruising to Christmas at Broooookside VW!!!!

Look at Vince and Karens VW 1965 Bus front floor pan, a real dancehall floor filler this pop pickers!with more boogie than John Travolta!!! hehe! she also has a new front wheel arch and floor seat all spot welded nicely. Note steering column and pedals removed for easy fitting, the bottom NS wheel arch box section is welded in and we are now turning the turret on Tiger 124 to the centre cargo floor sections next, take cover!
Finally Emma and Louise's Dormobile bus nicknamed Dolly has her seats fitted front and rear and look at those ultra rare Buddy seats! The new roof vents and hinges have arrived and we will be fitting these next, a true crafted touch! the bespoke curtains will be here tomorrow, made by the lovely Pam !
Anyway must go pop pickers! have a goodweekend Mart and Co, and more soon P.S its Darrens and Kaths Westy bus next week! Bye everyone, Simon

Movember!

Dollies number plates have arrived!along with its FREEE tax disc we can now drive dolly again!
WH1943! Operation Sturmschutzen Panzer Wagon has arrived and is our latest company camper! now this is a rare German Steyer, we saw this in France at Normanday near the village of Cintheaux two years ago and at last she has arrived but needs our careful attention - a project in deed!Mon Ami!
Dolly's headlining being fitted, its a 3 man job! but well worth it!
Leannes and Andrews bus has had her seat belt mounts welded in, and next to it vince and karens bus has had her front remaining floor removed prior to a new one!
Here is a shot of the door to enter the cabin, note huge steering wheel and og canvass. This vehicle is a true survivor
Here is the rear brake drum removed with a very heavy duty puller revealing wheel cylinders, brake shoes, so its a late one ~(again!)
Here is martin fitting on the new brake pipes, all done here in the workshop, we intend to return to France in this vehicle next year! does anyone want to come along?
Lastly volks !! 'The Marsonellies' will be heard again on the hills of Verdun! Honor de Legion! Viva La France! OMG Here we go again daydreaming, thought it was June 1916! haha have a great weekend everyone! SJ

RAF Squadron Leader SJ too Blue Leader !!

Break right! Break right! Enemy Gaggle 12 O'Clock! 2 Me 109's on your tail! Ohhhh blast old chaps! i thought i was over Dunkirk again in May 1940 in my Spitfire old Beans! but now back to reality hahaha! The 1971 Dormobile has passed its M.O.T with flying colours ! flying again here Volks! hehe! One or Two moans and groans from the old gal, bit like landing the old Lancaster at Biggin Hill with two engines out old chap!
not half what!, daydreaming again! One other thing lets not forget who was at No.1 this year, no no not Pink Floyd, not Mungo Jerry but the fabulous Vera Lynn! with There will be Bluebirds over the White cliffs of Dover!!, anyway back to work, we are busy running up the 1970 Westy engine, JUST FITTED!, with new cylinder heads and Empi Twin choke carbs and more! Also in for its M.O.T and annual service is martins & jennys lovely old beetle juice! Anyway The Brookside Southern Pincer Arm is about to capture The Biggest Prize of all!! more soon.............Pop Pickers!! The Legendary SJ !! RAF DSM. VC. Getting Dolled up in November!!

We have been really busy today and Dolly the Dormobile now has her front and rear bumpers bolted on, they look great ! Pop Pickers Mart the sparks has worked wonders with the lights wipers, horn and washers for its fourthcoming M.O.T This rare 1971 Texas bus has is rot free so should sail through the M.O.T like the QE2!!! Or could it be a Titanic!!!!!!!!!! so lets stop now and take on some ice, sail on sugars!!

November Advance continues at Brookside VWs!

Here we are Volks fitting up a Flat Four 1700cc engine for Dolly the Bus!, the valves have been re-cut and the tin wear & Webber Carbs with Duel inlet manifold system will make Dolly pur !
Next up... Here is Dolly on the Ramp, note: Powder coated wheels & new front indicator lenses which are nice detailed items, also look at this OG interior door trim.
Next up... Also being worked on is the 1970 Westy again, look at some nice detailed items on the front panel.
